BEMIS Co., Ltd. 4) How to collect personal information
(1) Personal information related to the device is automatically collected through direct input by the user during the membership registration and use process through the mobile application, and when the device is linked to the mobile application.


2. Purpose of collection of personal information

1) Our company processes personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information will not be used for purposes other than the following, and prior consent will be sought if the purpose of use changes.
(1)Membership and Management
Confirmation of intention to become a member, identification and authentication according to the provision of membership services, maintenance and management of membership, prevention of illegal use of services, various notices and notices, grievance handling, record preservation for dispute mediation, etc.
(2) Processing of civil complaints
Confirmation of the identity of the complainant, confirmation of the complaint, contact/notification for factual investigation, notification of processing results, etc.
(3) Use in marketing and advertising
Development of new services (products) and provision of customized services, provision of event and advertising information and participation opportunities, verification of service effectiveness, identification of access frequency, or statistics on member service use, etc.


3. Retention and use period of personal information

1) In principle, our company uses and stores personal information during the period of service use.
2) Additionally, if personal information needs to be preserved in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and the company's internal policies, the company retains the personal information for a certain period of time as follows.
(1) When there are provisions of related laws and regulations
a) Records on handling consumer complaints or disputes: 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
b) Communication confirmation data: 12 months (Communication Secrets Protection Act)
c) Records on labeling and advertising: 6 months (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
(2) Retention period of personal information held in accordance with the company's internal policy
a) If the user agrees to subscribe to the service: 5 years


4. Matters regarding destruction of personal information

1) Our company destroys the personal information immediately after the ‘purpose of collecting personal information’ is achieved or the ‘retention and use period’ has elapsed.
(1) Destruction procedure
The information you entered for membership registration will be stored for a certain period of time (see retention and use period) and then destroyed for reasons of information protection under internal policies and other relevant laws when you request 'withdrawal' or 'account deletion'. Personal information transferred to a separate DB will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it is retained, unless required by law.
(2) Destruction method
Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that render the records unrecoverable.


5. Inactive account management matters

1) If you do not use the app for more than 12 months, our company considers it a human account and stores and manages your personal information separately.
2) Our company will notify users of the relevant information through a notice (e-mail) one month prior to the separation, storage, and management of their personal information.
3) Inactive accounts will be discontinued from using the service, and will be managed separately, so you will need to go through an identity verification process in the app to use the service again.


6. Membership withdrawal management matters

1) Users can request deletion of registered personal information, and membership withdrawal can be done through ‘Delete Account’ in the app.
2) If you would like to request membership withdrawal via email, please request deletion or contact 'bemis@sysccon.com'.
3) If you request membership withdrawal through the app or email, all registered information will be deleted.


7. Measures to ensure the safety of personal information

When processing personal information, our company is taking the following management measures to prevent personal information from being lost, leaked, altered or damaged.
1) We limit the number of people handling personal information to a minimum and emphasize compliance with this policy through regular security training.
2) Our company is not responsible for anything that happens due to the user's personal mistakes or basic Internet risks. Each member must appropriately manage and take responsibility for his/her ID and password in order to protect his or her personal information.
3) Our head office has an intrusion prevention system and intrusion prevention system within the internal network to safely protect customers’ personal information from security incidents.
4) Our headquarters thoroughly carries out the handover of personal information-related tasks while maintaining security, and clarifies responsibility for personal information incidents after joining or leaving the company.


8. Notification obligation due to policy change

1) This personal information processing policy is applied from the effective date, and if there are additions, deletions, or corrections of changes in accordance with laws and policies, they will be notified through notices 7 days prior to the implementation of the changes.
